In Machias, throughout the month of April, participate in the events organized at the University of Maine at Machias, in partnership with AMHC’s Sexual Assault Services and NextStep Domestic Violence Project, to raise awareness and prevention about sexual assault.

In Augusta, on Saturday April 8 from 9:00am-noon, you can join a free Easter Egg Hunt at Mill Park, organized by UScellular associates.

On Monday April 17 from 7 pm – 8 pm, attend the virtual gathering organized by the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine to honor and remember victims of the Holocaust through music, poetry, prayer, readings, and personal stories.
In Orono, on Monday April 17 from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, attend the public lecture “Landscapes of Remembrance” by Professor Anne Knowles on the thousands of Holocaust memorials around the world at the University of Maine’s Wells Conference Center and online.
In Lewiston, Rockland, Orono, Waterville, and Brunswick, throughout the month of April, watch the free screening of the documentary film Four Winters, organized by the Maine Jewish Film Festival.
In Portland, on Tuesday April 18 from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, join historian and poet Anna Wrobel for the community observance and screening of the 2019 film House on Wannsee Street at the Jewish Community Alliance, an event organized in partnership with the Maine Jewish Film Festival.

In Augusta, on Sunday April 23 from 6:00-8:00 pm, join a potluck dinner organized by the University of Maine at Augusta, New England Arab American Association, and Partners for World Health to raise awareness and funds for the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.

In Portland, on Sunday April 23 from 2:00-4:00 pm, you can attend the live concert by the Nordica Trio in commemoration of Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day at the Portland Conservatory of Music. The event will be organized in partnership with Armenian Cultural Association of Maine.
