Designed to align with UMA’s Bachelor of Contemporary & Popular Music program, this Early College pathway offers high school students the opportunity to complete both core and general education requirement courses while getting a preview of the preeminent modern music education UMA offers!  You will learn from renowned faculty with current experience in the recording and performance industries, receive support and community from talented peers, and have access to cutting-edge recording and sonic arts facilities. 

  • MUS 101: Music Theory Blended and MUS 111: Aural Skills
  • ENG 101: College Writing
  • CIS 100: Introduction to Computer Applications or
    CIS 101: Introduction to Computer Science
  • COM 101: Public Speaking or COM 102: Interpersonal Communication
  • MUS 102: Music Theory Blended and MUS 112: Aural Skills
  • ENG 102W: Introduction to Literature
  • World Language as Humanities Elective (Choose one)
    • ASL 101: Introduction to American Sign Language I
    • SPA 101: Elementary Spanish I
    • FRE 101: Introduction to French I
