Welcome to the Bangor Campus!

UMA’s historic Bangor Campus offers over 40 degree programs and high-tech learning facilities including state-of-the-art laboratories and clinics for our signature Veterinary Technology and Dental programs. Students in all academic programs benefit from ample study spaces, engaging student activities, and smart classrooms wired for sound and video.

Our students enjoy a full range of services including academic advising, math and writing labs, and one-on-one tutoring. UMA Bangor’s Student Life office and Student Government Association maintains a strong sense of campus community by engaging students with fun activities, trips, and leadership opportunities. Student groups host a wide array of events throughout the year, including student appreciation ceremonies, faculty panels, multicultural and gender equality talks, musical performances, and much more! The Nottage Library offers a robust range of resources and amenities including a vast array of digital academic materials.

The UMA campus also serves Bangor as a community partner. Our Fitness Center boasts a full gymnasium, weight and cardio machines, year-round fitness programs, and pick-up games of basketball, pickleball, and floorball. The Fitness Center is free to students with memberships available to the public. Additionally, UMA Bangor hosts a public Dental Clinic, which offers low-cost preventative care, including cleanings, x-rays, and sealants. Meanwhile, we offer high tech conference and classrooms spaces where organizations can host events or hold meetings, live or hybrid on Zoom.

Eligible full-time UMA Bangor students can now choose affordable housing at UMaine in Orono and enjoy all the benefits of living on the UMaine campus: dining services, fitness center, athletic events, concerts, theatre, campus activities, and non-competitive intramurals.

UMA Bangor is Conveniently located across from the Bangor International Airport and easily accessible from I-95.
