Mikayla True

Mikayla True hails from DownEast Maine. She attended George Stevens Academy and then Eastern Maine Community College where she studied Early Childhood Education. After transferring to UMaine Orono, she changed to Child and Family Studies. While at Orono, she became a student leader in the Center of Student Involvement office and was elected to President of the Campus Activity Board where she planned college wide student activities during and after the pandemic. She was awarded the Catch A Rising Star award for student leadership from the NASPA Maine chapter in 2021. After working in Headstart programs for several years, she decided to further pursue a career in higher education administration and began an internship in the Enrollment Management Center at Eastern Maine Community College before moving to UMaine Augusta. She is excited to help future Moose find their place at UMaine Augusta. Mikayla spends her free time following crime procedural dramas and podcasts, hiking with her dog Coco, and watching Celtics, Patriots and Bruins games.
