Adult and Child Mandated Reporter Training course (Registration Required)
This continuing education course is sponsored by the UMA Dental Health Programs and will be held in the Fireside Lounge at the Randall Student Center on the UMA Augusta campus.
The 4-hour course will cover the prevalence of abuse, role of mandated reporters, identification of behavioral and physical symptoms of abuse, description of all the steps necessary to create a report to State of Maine Protective Services. Participants will be able to apply the information to relevant case studies.
Speakers are David White and Stephanie Wiken from the Department of Health and Human Services. Each participant will receive certification from the Maine Department of Health & Human Services.
This event is for anyone who would like to register, including the general public.
