Walk a Mile in Their Shoes

University of Maine at Augusta

Join UMA’s Counseling & Wellness team for Walking a Mile in Their Shoes, an awareness event that aims to educate individuals and our broader community about sexualized violence. Survivors of sexualized violence are put in uncomfortable situations, and we invite you to join our public experience by walking a mile in their shoes. The 1 mile route will offer opportunities to learn more about causes, prevention, and remediation strategies. This event is free and open to members of the UMA community.

THe sign up booth will be in front of Jewett Hall.

UMA students can contact Alissa Gervais (alissa.gervais@maine.edu) to sign up for transportation from the Bangor Campus to the Augusta Campus.

This event is open to UMA Students, Staff, and Faculty (not open to the general public).
