Payment Plan
Payment Plan Installments and Due Dates:
Payment Plan(s): available for Summer, Fall, and Spring terms. There is a $30 non-refundable plan enrollment fee assessed for every term this option is chosen. Students that select the payment plan option may combine their account balances from other University of Maine campuses into a single UMA payment plan.

Summer 2024, Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 Billing Information
University Billing and Financial Requirements:
- The University reserves the right to adjust tuition and fees. The applicant acknolwedges this by submitting an application for admission or registration.
- The Board of Trustees approves tuition, fees, and other educational costs annually for each of the seven campuses of the University of Maine System.
- Students are responsible for their account balances and should pay by the due dates (see below) to avoid late fees or other registration penalties.
- Past due balances of $100.00 or more will be sent to a collections agency after 180 days without account activity per the APL.
- Past due balances of $25.00 or more are referred to the Maine State Tax Offset program if internal and external collections efforts are not successful.
- Students can access an up-to-date status of their student account at any time via MaineStreet.
Financial Aid:
- Students are encouraged to apply for Financial Aid in a timely fashion. Please check with the UMA Financial Aid office for important deadlines and policies.
- Financial aid is reflected in student invoices but may not cover charges until all requirements are met.
- Awarded financial aid is disbursed after the start of the term. Excess refunds are issued by check or direct deposit.
- IMPORTANT FACT: In accordance with Federal regulations, financial assistance may be adjusted for aid recipients who reduce credit hours, withdraw during the semester, do not academically complete the semester, or receive unreported external contributions. Awards will be adjusted accordingly and refunded to the Title IV program, which may result in a balance owed to the University.
Employer or Third Party Authorization:
- The University will accept an unconditional guarantee of direct payment from an employer, federal or state agency, or the military.
- The Third Party Authorization Form is submitted to the Student Financials Office at the time of registration and must specify what charges and amounts are covered.
- The student is expected to have arrangements in place to pay uncovered charges at the time of registration and remains responsible for all costs if the third party organization does not pay.
