On Wednesday, April 5, the Office of Student Life held its 5th Annual Cultural Celebration Day.
We had the privilege of learning about many different cultures from our very own UMA students. Our community rose to the occasion, bringing in food, clothing, and other objects of cultural significance. Events on both campuses were well attended, and attendees learned about and enjoyed the following: Australian Tim Tams, Ethiopian injera crisps, French crepes, Italian panettone, Navajo fry bread, Norwegian waffles, Pakistani chickpea salad, Syrian falafel and hummus, Thai tea, Turkish baklava, and Ukrainian piroshki, among others.
A huge thank you goes out to all those who contributed to the success of this celebration. Be sure to check the UMA Calendar for additional events to honor our diverse community year-round!
