21 Business and Community Leaders to Participate in Statewide Leadership Program
HALLOWELL–The Maine Development Foundation has recently announced the new participants of the 2019-2020 Bigelow Class of Institute for Civic Leadership (ICL). Debora Rountree M. Ed, Director of the University of Maine at Augusta’s Katahdin Higher Education Center was selected based on her:
- Personal concern about increasing his or her leadership capacity to create positive change within an organization, community or sector,
- a commitment to take actions, which shape their personal and professional future,
- demonstrated capacity to lead,
- and a record of accomplishment within an organization or with community endeavors.
ICL is a program of the Maine Development Foundation. The program is an experiential, educational program committed to increasing the capacity of leaders – focusing on a deep dive into building the skills, knowledge, and networks to shape the future of Maine.
This year’s class was selected through a competitive application process. Participants in this prestigious program include representatives from business, government, education, and non-profit organizations. This is the 27th class of the program. Alumni include leaders from every sector in Maine who are both leading in their organizations and in their community.
