This May, Katherine Kireburns, a Lecturer with the UMA Dental Health Programs, successfully completed the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) licensure examination adding a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential to her existing licenses as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). Katherine also holds a Master’s Degree in Adult and Higher Education, and has practiced for 12 years. As a CDA, Katherine is now able to teach within both the dental hygiene and dental assisting programs at UMA.
