General Diane Dunn, Jim LaBelle, and Matthew Pouliot Appointed to UMA Board of Visitors

The University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its Board of Visitors.

General Diane Dunn, Adjutant General and Commissioner of the Maine Dept. of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management; Jim LaBelle, Executive Director Biddeford-Saco Chamber of Commerce; and Matthew Pouliot, CEO of Pouliot Real Estate, have joined the board, which plays an important role in guiding and supporting UMA’s mission of transforming student lives.

“Our new Board of Visitors members join existing members Jennifer Riggs, Shenna Bellows, Randall Liberty, and Soumia Tber, and together they will help shape UMA’s future,” said UMA President Jenifer Cushman. “We are excited to be expanding our Board, ensuring it is representative of the statewide communities and students we serve.”

“Our Board of Visitors is a group of highly professional and engaged regional leaders,” said Chair Jennifer Riggs, MSN, RN, FACHE, Chief Nursing Officer for MaineGeneral Health and CEO, MaineGeneral Community Care. “Now, more than ever, UMA is making quality, relevant education accessible to all learners and creating innovative partnerships to support the future of Maine’s workforce. Our expanding Board of Visitors will help guide this important work as we move forward.”
