If you have an interest in guitar, bass, or drums—whether as a student, performer, enthusiast, or just curious—come join us on Saturday, March 30, in the Fine Arts Building on UMA’s Augusta campus for Guitar, Bass, and Drums Day. Five members of our Artist Faculty will each present four music workshops, 45 minutes each. All five workshops begin at 9:00 am and will be repeated at 10:00, 11:00, and 12:00. Attendees may stay with one instructor the entire morning or go to different workshops.
Choose from:
- Rock Guitar with Scott Hughes
- Jazz Guitar with Peter Herman
- Classical and Folk Guitar with Jeff Rojo
- String Bass and Bass Guitar with Duane Edwards
- Drum Set with Jackson Cromwell
No experience or musical background is necessary to attend. Participants may engage in a hands-on experience or just listen, learn, and enjoy. We will have a few instruments available to borrow for each workshop but not enough for everyone, so please feel free to bring your own guitars, basses, and drumsticks. There will be a few drum sets for the drum seminars.
This event is free and open to high school students, college students, UMA faculty and staff, and the public. Advanced registration is required. For more information or to register, email Dr. Anita Jerosch anita.jerosch@maine.edu.
