Nominations are Open for Bangor Campus Awards! - University of Maine at Augusta

Annually, the Bangor campus recognizes individuals who have exemplified academic scholarship, service, governance, overcoming personal hardships, and contributions to campus life at their Graduate & Awards Banquet.

Nominations for these awards are solicited from students and employees with recipients being determined by the designated entity. Please review the information below and nominate anyone you feel should be considered before 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

P. David DeFroscia Student Choice Award

The P. David DeFroscia Student Choice Award award honors an employee who has made a lasting impact on campus life and enriched the student experience at UMA Bangor.

Bangor Student(s) of the Year

Three graduating students from the greater Bangor area (one Associate, one Baccalaureate, and one Graduate) will be recognized as Bangor Student(s) of the Year representing the “best of the best” UMA has to offer.

Tenacious Moose Award

The Tenacious Moose Award recognizes a student who has demonstrated resilience, resolve, and perseverance in pursuit of their education and future goals. Preference will be given to a graduating student.

Outstanding Student Service Award

The Outstanding Student Service Award recognizes a student who has made significant contributions to the UMA Bangor campus through their time, actions, and/or talents. Preference will be given to a graduating student.
