The Kathleen Dexter Distinguished Student Award is presented to a graduating student. (In recent years, it has been awarded to an associate or a baccalaureate graduate.) Candidates will be evaluated on academic achievement, extracurricular participation and/or leadership, and community service outside of UMA.
The James H. Woodworth Memorial award will be a non-traditional student, who is graduating (associate or baccalaureate), who normally would not be recognized for academic or extracurricular achievement, but who has achieved a great deal within the context of his/her responsibilities, and who has earned a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
These forms will close at noon on March 17, 2025.
Faculty, staff, and other students may nominate students, or students may nominate themselves. If a student self-nominates (or another student nominates a student), a letter of recommendation from a faculty or staff member must accompany the nomination. If nominator cannot supply all of the information, please contact the nominee for the information needed to complete the nomination.
