UMA Associate Professor of History, Robert Bernheim, recently published “Portraits from a Conjoined War: The German 100th Light Infantry Division and First Contact with the Jews of Zinkiv, Ukraine – July 1941” in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. He also published “The Long Goodbye – my family, my father and Alzheimer’s,” a Maine Voices Op-Ed in The Portland Press Herald and The Kennebec Journal.
UMA Professor of Transdisciplinary Studies, Sarah Hentges, recently presented a workshop and a special event at the National Women’s Studies Association annual conference in Minneapolis. The workshop, Embodied Social Justice: Pleasure, Play, and Movement Toward Radical Self-Love and Collective Transformation, and the special event, JourneyDance for Resilience, Resourcing, and Transformation, both draw from Professor Hentges’s teaching and research, merging theory and practice and offering practical tools for mind/body engagement and embodiment.
