This training is open to all UMA community members.

Safe Zone training at UMA is a 2-hour workshop designed to educate faculty, staff, and students about LGBTQ+ issues, identities, and allyship. The goal is to create a more inclusive, supportive, and safe environment for LGBTQ+ individuals. Participants learn about terminology, challenges faced by LGBTQ+ communities, and strategies to be effective allies.

If you are unable to attend one of our upcoming community Safe Zone trainings (above), Safe Zone workshops are available for groups of four or more by request.
