Safety Reminder: Locking Vehicles on Campus

Dear UMA Community,

I wanted to share a timely reminder about the importance of locking your vehicles in all public places, including UMA campuses and centers. Unfortunately, UMA Campus Security was notified of a recent theft from an unlocked vehicle on the Bangor Campus, which is the second theft of this type this semester. While Security patrols the campus and we have cameras in some of our parking lots, these types of unfortunate events can still happen.

As a reminder, please keep your vehicles locked with your windows up when parked at our campuses or centers. We also recommend removing any items of value, or storing them out of sight.

As always, please know that security is just a phone call away if you need assistance

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this issue, please contact me.
