The UMA Rockland Center will honor this year’s 56 graduates at a celebration event on Saturday, May 4th at the college center.
Although the students will march with caps and gowns at the University of Maine at Augusta Commencement at the Civic Center on May 11th, the staff and faculty at UMA Rockland also honor local students with this formal, recognition event.
As UMA Rockland’s Director Deborah Meehan noted, “Many of our students enjoy the collegiality and intimacy of celebrating this milestone with the peers they have worked alongside for many years. It’s a pretty special time.”
This year’s keynote speaker will be Mary Bumiller, a successful local banker and real estate broker with a solid track record in strategic marketing and client services. Bumiller earned a MA In Corporate and Public Communications from Seton Hall University after a somewhat non-traditional educational path.
