Washington D.C. Trip

Come aboard a journey to the vibrant capital of the United States, Washington D.C. from May 12-16th! Join us for an enriching experience filled with history, culture, and political significance.

We’ll explore iconic landmarks such as the majestic Lincoln Memorial, the grand Capitol Building, and the impressive Smithsonian museums along the National Mall, each telling a unique story of the nation’s past. The diverse neighborhoods, from the historic charm of Georgetown to the modern energy of the Wharf, provide a delightful array of dining and shopping options, making the trip not just educational but also enjoyable. Whether you’re a history buff, a political enthusiast, or simply looking to experience the rich tapestry of American life, a visit to Washington D.C. promises to be an unforgettable adventure.

The cost of the trip is $325 for students and $650 for guests/non-students which covers round-trip bus transportation*, hotel accommodations (including a hot breakfast) at Comfort Inn Arlington, and a night bus tour with a professional guide (optional). While in D.C., the trip advisors will offer optional excursions each day, however, participants are free to explore on their own. There is no set itinerary on the trip and the trip fee does not cover any entrance fees to museums or attractions or any food or drinks unless otherwise communicated.

*Transportation to/from UMA Bangor Campus may be available. Inquire at time of sign-up.

Sign-ups start on Monday, February 3rd for students and Tuesday, February 18th for guests/non-students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment is due at the time of sign-ups but please reach out to discuss a payment plan if that is helpful.

Due to the amount of travel and walking involved, we discourage young children from participating and have a minimum age requirement of ten (10) years old. Please reach out if you have questions or concerns regarding this.

Please note that no refunds will be issued for cancellations that occur after April 16th unless there are extenuating circumstances. Additionally, no refunds will be issued for conflicts/no-shows.
