JMG serves more than 9,000 students in communities throughout all of Maine’s 16 counties.

UMA hosts a Jobs for Maine’s Graduates (JMG) College Success Specialist, who connects one-on-one with students in the JMG program, providing them with extra support towards obtaining a UMA degree.

JMG supports high school and college students by helping them overcome barriers, and preparing them for successful careers after graduation.

UMA currently has students in JMG who have either participated in the program since high school, have been in foster care, or have attained their high school equivalency diploma through an alternative program within the last five years.

JMG also has a Career Association Club that is open to all students. The Career Association Club is a team of students who work closely together and are dedicated to working with other non-profit organizations, building teamwork and leadership skills, and making new connections.

If you were in JMG in high school, would like to participate in the JMG program, or would like more information about JMG, contact UMA’s JMG College Success Specialist, Joe Hayes.
